Tinie Tempah

By Rebecca Temple

Tinie Tempah has one impressive resume. As well as being a chart topping rapper, he has his own clothing line ‘Disturbing London’, is a member of the British Fashion Council’s menswear committee and was voted GQ’s Best Dressed Man In Britain 2012. There is no wonder that he is often spotted in the front row of some of the most highly anticipated catwalk shows such as Burberry and London Collections: Men.

He is credited with possessing impeccable taste and is often seen supporting British brands. At only 23 he has refined his look creating smart sophisticated outfits with a youthful edge. Using block colour and precise layering he shows men that dressing smart can be cool and encourages others to have fun with their wardrobes by using a mix of high-end and street-wear.

Tinie enjoys setting himself apart by not following the typical fashion trends and his willingness to take risks has inspired many. Tinie himself looks up to other modern males who have unique personal styles and who stand out from the crowd. I’m sure Tinie will raise his stakes in the fashion game and is one to keep your eye on.

Bring on the florals

by Rebecca Temple

When you think of floral you don’t immediately relate it to menswear, but this summer designers such as Topman, Paul Smith and Givenchy have given florals a transformation. There are an array of different styles and prints available, the key is to wear it in moderation. High-street brand Topman have gone big and bold with a nod to the Hawaiian shirt. They have a selection of vests, t-shirts and accessories all adorned with floral prints. Similarly designer Givenchy have opted for the ‘go hard or go home’ mantra offering large graphic print from head to toe.

Injecting floral can add a bit of fun and quirkiness to any outfit. If you want to go for a more formal classic look, then Paul Smith is your man. The prints are small and delicate showing that floral can be smart and sophisticated. So whether your heading to the beach or the boardroom there is always a room for a touch of floral in your outfit.
